Garment Racks Rental Dallas Fort Worth

weekend of November 24 to 28:

The 4th Thursday of November, Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. Thursday is a holiday and they take the opportunity to build bridges, which gave us the right to a weekend of 4 days.
was therefore organized with Thibault and Nico, my former classmates who are currently in Meridian, a weekend skiing. So we agreed on the destination: This will be the largest and most prestigious U.S. stations: Aspen, Colorado.
(surely the most expensive too).

We therefore given appointments in Denver on Thursday morning where we rented a car for all the 3:30 road that still separated from Aspen.
We left San Antonio on Wednesday afternoon and we stayed in a hotel near the Denver airport because it was cheaper than taking the plane on Thursday morning as Thibault and Nico.
Our hotel room was beautiful, by the way I do not know if you can call it a room, it was more an apartment: Fully equipped kitchen, living room and bedroom separated by a library and of course a bathroom bigger than us ...

After a good night's sleep, the Avatar in HD on our TV and a good breakfast, we went back Thibault and Nico at the airport in our new rental car: a Chevrolet Impala with snow tires of course since it had been snowing non stop last week.

After crossing a portion of Colorado east to west, we arrived at our hotel in the heart of the resort: The Innsbruck Luxury. A small 4 star hotel in the U.S., ie one bedroom, 2 bathrooms (yes I know it's weird especially for 4 people) and over-equipped kitchen. The pictures speak for 'they even:

We then went to eat the traditional Thanksgiving turkey in one of the few restaurants open. Then nothing like it to digest and recover from our long journey to rest in the hotel jacuzzi heated to 38 ° C knowing the temperature outside was around -17 ° C (yes you read correctly! !).

Friday morning, after having rented our skis, we started to ski the slopes of Aspen Mountain under a bright sun and snow still fresh. In addition, the station that opened the day before, the tracks and especially the lifts were deserted. Short optimal conditions, what happiness!

On Saturday we headed to Snowmass, Aspen station combined with about 30 minutes shuttle. At this time of year, only half of the facilities were open but the resort is so huge that we could not even do all the tracks. The area covers over 1200 hectares (for example Aspen extends from 273 hectares), and the summit is 3813 m. And again the sun and the snow got together.

On Sunday we left the hotel at 8am and headed to Denver. The aircraft Nico and Thibault was at 13h and 17h to ours. We finally arrived in San Antonio to 23h after a stop in Amarillo (North Texas) and a stop in Dallas without ever changing planes (the magic of low-cost airlines ...).

To conclude this long weekend was perfect on all points and we would have stayed a little longer to enjoy the slopes and jacuzzi ...

Public Showers Men Do You

Thanksgiving weekend of November 19 to 21

Friday afternoon we finally went to see the first part of the final book in the saga "Harry Potter", entitled "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." For once the film is very close to the book so we now eagerly awaiting the result will happen in July. But I think I probably go back again the first part in the coming weeks! Thierry can not wait that long to know the outcome, he decided to buy the book in English to know the end of the story ...

We then see a game of ice hockey team "San Antonio Rampage." It took place in the same stadium where we had seen the Spurs basketball game. For those not familiar too much hockey here is a quick reminder, the teams consist of 6 players including the goalkeeper. The match lasted 3 third time of 20 minutes and there is no tie in hockey. So if at the end of regulation time teams are level there are 5 min extension that play 5 against 5. Then came the penalty kicks in 1 cons 1 with the keeper. The match was great and the San Antonio Rampage won 4-3 against the team from Milwaukee after extra time and penalty kick.

We spent the rest of the weekend we rest and prepare for the next as we go skiing in Aspen: the largest U.S. station. Indeed Thursday is Thanksgiving is a holiday for most Americans and we are the bridge Friday which entitles us to a weekend of four days.
I'll get back to you soon for a summary of this extended weekend.

Red And Gold Elegant Christmas Wrapping Paper

Six Flags and the first film

weekend of 13 and 14 November:

Saturday we went to Six Flags Amusement Park in San Antonio with friends from DLI. A South African class to Thierry, two Uruguayan, three Azerbaijani Kay and an American.

There was a lot of roller coasters and fairground rides here called the "Roller Costers. Kay and the boys have all the rides, I limited myself to a few not to stir too bébinou. It must be said that virtually all the attractions had loops and stirred in all directions.

After this day busy we made a small meal with French at our apartment where we ate a very good boeuf bourguignon.
The next day we went to our first film to the cinema to prepare us for the release of Harry Potter (which takes place Friday 19 here). We have seen a drawing animated Megamid too funny and the more I understood almost everything! More films here is not like France, to our seats we had a small table with a menu to eat right on! You write your order and you lay on the table, a server comes and brings you back your flat. It ranges from simple sandwiches to popcorn through a good pizza ...

Custom Ear Gauges Design

Air Show and the Spurs game.

weekend of 6 and 7 November:

Last weekend, on the basis of a meeting was held Lackland Air " Air Fest 2010 ". So we spent our Saturday at the base, to attend performances. Numerous aircraft were also exposed as the C-5, a huge transport plane as you can see below:

There were demonstrations 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. non stop. We saw fighter jets like the F-22 Raptors or F-18 Hornet, but also aerobatic planes, or a reconstruction of the attack on Pearl Harbor with Zero Japanese cons of P 51 Mustang.
course we had to blend in and it's nothing like watching the rally by drinking a "Bud" and eating a small packet of popcorn (which we still have not managed to finish d Moreover !!!).

Otherwise the highlight here was the "Thunderbirds." It's the army patrol the U.S. Air (USAF), composed of six F-16. We could just compare the Patrouille de France, their performance lasts not less than 45 min, but there's still a lot of downtime and figures, without being chauvinistic, are generally much less technical than the Patrouille de France. They make simple things but they do them well here is their philosophy. Here are some photos taken during the Amanda show:

Sunday afternoon we went to test the base Golf: Gateway Hills Golf Course . Being student on the basis I have the right to a discounted rate. After 14h, it is $ 16 for 18 holes and cart from Monday to Friday now that's given! Especially since golf is very well maintained. The holes are very large and forgiving the bad things (I speak for beginners course ...).
As the meeting was about 2 days we could see the Thunderbirds, but since golf this time.

Wednesday, November 10 we went to see a match of the San Antonio Spurs at the AT & T Center. For non-sports, the Spurs basketball team is the San Antonio and participates in the NBA championship. The best basketball player I plays French named Tony Parker. As you can imagine the stadium is huge and has a capacity of 18,500 people. The match lasted 4 quarts originally time of 12 minutes but there are so stop playing it finally lasted 3 hours. At each break, or downtime, there is a competition of shooting, a distribution of t-shirt, the band plays at the university, or on the Pom Pom Girls. Is more than a basketball game, it's really a show to America. We had
tickets at $ 5 through the DLI (school). At that price we were well on top but all our surprise we still saw a beautiful field. Finally, the Spurs have won against the Los Angeles Clippers 107-95.

weekend at Rocky Mountain National Park

weekend of 30, October 31 and November 1:

We have used this weekend for three days exploring the Rocky Mountain National Park, north of Denver, Colorado. After classes Thierry Friday noon, we prepared our bags and headed to San Antonio airport 15 minutes from home. Our plane was at 17:30 and we were traveling with the company "Southwest." A U.S. airline that attractive rates (like Ryanair from us). What is very interesting because here must be at least 5 hours car to a change of scenery and landscapes. States here are immense and include Texas (which is an area as large as France), so the plane is really the only way to travel a bit around the country.

We arrived at 19h at the Denver airport. After retrieving our rental car (a Kia again) we headed to our hotel the "Tyrol Mountain Inn at 1h30 in the town of Estes Park. The city is located east of the Rocky Mountain park at an altitude of 7522 feet (2300m).
Our hotel was very cute all wood and the room was huge with two queen beds.

After a good night's sleep, head for the "visitor center" at the entrance to the park for information on touring to do and the best views . The park is huge (about 1,000 km ²), the highest peak is "Longs Peak, which rises to 4346m. The park has only two roads that are partially closed now because there is already snow and more than 500km of trails. We started our Saturday morning visit to the park by car to enjoy the view. After a first stop in Alluvial Fan where we could see a beautiful river and a waterfall, we took the road of "Trail Ridge Road. Alas it was closed after a few kilometers because of the snow but could still climb high enough to get a great view over much of the park.

We then fell back towards "Sprague Lake" to see our first lake but also for picnics. Before reaching the lake we have a halt to "Moraine Park to once again admire the view.

"Sprague Lake" was really beautiful with a view of snowy mountains. We have come full circle (about 1.5 km) on foot this time and we met a wedding in the U.S. celebrated on the lake!

We also cross full of small animals like squirrels, puppets and a small woodpecker spirit to kill a tree trunk. After this short tour we took the road to "Bear Lake" to the south to attack the real thing. "Bear Lake" is situated at an altitude of 2892m, we parked the car started our hike around the lake and then towards the next three. A journey that ultimately we will have to 7km (round trip) and reach an altitude of about 3300m. I confess that the evening we were happy to go to bed!
Back to "Bear Lake" the trail around the lake was already partly covered with snow on some passage in the shade and allowed us to have a great view.

After the tour of the lake, we began our ascent to the other three. And the more we mounted, there was more snow. It is at this moment that we regret coming to basketball what happiness to walk with soaked socks! Finally Thierry especially because mine were completely dry.

Lake First met: Nymph Lake. The smallest of the three and totally frozen, but we have not tried skating on it even if there was a good layer of ice.

Second Lake: Dream Lake. With the view of the top of Hallett Peak, which rises to 3875m and on our next destination at the foot of the mountain.

Third Lake Emerald Lake. As you can see the sun had just gone behind the mountains and was time to descend into the valley.

On Sunday, we started a trek north of the city to go to the top of the Twin Owls and have a city view and the Rockies. The wind had risen and we were glad to have brought our gloves and our hats.

After 2 hours of hiking we thought it might be better to visit the rest of the park by car. Heading south from the city to Lily Lake. As you can see it was not very hot!

Then to the far southeast of the park to Wild Basin to see the waterfalls. At the trailhead, a sign saying "Beware the Bears frequent this place" with the image of a car smashed by a bear had smelled food. Finally we do not stay very long ...

After brief stint at Wild Basin, we decided to go shopping and visit the town of Estes Park this Halloween day. We were surprised by the popularity of this festival, which among us is much less celebrated. Here everyone was dressed very unusually merchants closed their shop in 17h and were installed in front of their door bowls filled with candy for children who began their tour. But we were delayed by a herd of deer that passed that way ... and that which landed on the Gulf of town ...

Monday morning we returned to Denver and took advantage of the day to visit the city since we had been at 19:30. The center was typical of American cities: skyscrapers and perpendicular streets one way. We went up the 16th street is the street starts from the city to get to the "Capitol" before ending our afternoon in a city park: City Park where the museum of natural history of the city.
