Caught Using Fake Id Canada

First week in San Antonio

After a good night's sleep to give us our emotions, we woke up at 4am because of jetlag.
So we started our administrative as of Tuesday morning. We managed to find the base with GPS that my father kindly bequeathed us before leaving and that has proven essential for any movement because the U.S. is very different signals.

After a guided tour of the school I made an appointment to get our ID cards (ID U.S.), the next morning. We then returned to the hotel still recovering from jet lag, and we have started our week in one of countless gastronomic Fast Food around our hotel.
Wednesday afternoon ID in our pocket, so we opened our account with the U.S. Navy Federal Credit Union, and bought our mobile phones U.S.: two i Phone 4 last generation with a small package of 20 hours per month ...
Thursday after my first briefing, our search for apartments and cars began. We visited two different homes to finally choose: Stoneybrook Apartments 20 minutes from the base. After over 2 hours of paperwork we booked an apartment of 70m2 (the smallest he had) with a bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen especially to end the McDonalds, Burger King and company that we had tested so far for lunch and dinner.
Oops, the apartment will be available the following Wednesday. We have extended our stay at Motel 6 and the Fast Food ...

Regarding the car, since we moved quite often in the coming months, so I had to give up my Ford Mustang Convertible for a Mini Van: a Dodge Caravan. See you next Monday to recover directly at Car Max.

After a busy week, so we attack the weekend from Friday at noon as the classes finish at 12pm. Arrive downtown we realize that our credit cards are still blocked French: this time we have exceeded the ceilings with all that we had spent that week. Of course it is 5am in San Antonio, midnight in France so the bank is closed, and we have not received our credit cards American ... Eventually will be an evening TV at the hotel!

Saturday morning after removing enough fluid for the weekend we were finally able to begin our tour of downtown. Direction "The Alamo": name of a former mission in ruins or 189 American colonists, including the legendary David Crockett ended up against 5000 Mexican soldiers besieged in 1835. They decided to stay and die in the name of their ideals ...

We then walked along the "River Walk". A river in the heart of city one can find most bars and restaurants of the city. A beautiful place in the middle of buildings:

And to finish our visit, we could not go without being mounted on top of "The Tower of America": 229 meters above, a superb panorama of San Antonio and its surroundings ...

Sunday afternoon after a good sleep, we visited the San Antonio Zoo:

And finally busy this weekend, nothing like a Golf to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather of San Antonio (90 ° F since we arrived, about 30 ° C for those n have not already made the conversion). Direction the Brackenridge Golf Course 5 minutes from the Zoo:

Check the united states: Monday, October 11

We have arrived since soon 3 weeks and I can finally begin to tell you our adventures.
We left Marseille Sunday, October 10 and we slept at the airport of Paris' Charles de Gaulle. "Our plane for the United States was at 9:30 on Monday morning. After a journey of about 13h, with a stopover in Houston, we arrived at our final destination: San Antonio, Texas at 15:30 local time. We then picked up our huge luggage and took the shuttle to pick the car that we had previously reserved ...
is where our troubles started, I'll spare you the details but our credit cards were temporarily blocked French and of course the bank did not open until Tuesday, so without a penny in pocket it was impossible for us pay the bail of the car we had reserved. After lengthy negotiations with the rental agency and a few tantrums later, we managed to get a car smaller than expected but we finally made perfect sense. A Kia Soul:

We then joined our hotel (while looking for an apartment). The "Motel 6" near the base of Lackland AFB:
