Pinky Look Alike W/ Pinky Skills

second weekend of December

We started this small weekend with a few little Christmas shopping. Indeed, after several searches on the net, we have cracked and went to buy "best buy" our new camera. SLR the "Nikon D3100", a true marvel to take photos of professionals. Father Christmas went a little early this year!

We then went to spend Saturday night in downtown San Antonio, with two new EOPAN French who just arrived. Program lovely little bistro on the terrace, it was a bit cold but fortunately there were lovely ponchos available. I let you admire the pictures ...

Then we went a few drinks in different bars in town who were also night club.

Sunday, the golf management base to enjoy the sun, relax and above all try our new camera. Before golf, here are some shots of the outskirts of San Antonio between the base and our apartment. So you can observe the impressive number of signs and billboards that show the various fast food restaurants and shops along the highway. But also the immense American flags flutter in the wind, to show how they are proud of their country.

And they're off for 9 holes of golf on the base. Thierry plays and I'm testing the camera!

To finish this small weekend I leave you with this little humorous note, here Americans love Christmas time and even cars are decorated ...

Sore Throat, Blood In Phlegm Nose

first weekend of December in Aspen

Friday 3 to 5 December:

Friday afternoon we went bowling test base. We did not know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised to see that bowling alleys were well maintained and the size of the complex. We made two parties, with a Jati Indonesian colleague and a fellow Cambodian Morn. And I must say that our level bowling is not the same as when we were in college, it would be a year since we had not played and the first part was rather poor, for all you say is me who won!

After this little afternoon we went to eat at Red Lobster. A chain restaurant specializing in seafood, including crayfish and lobster. On the menu, grilled lobster, shrimp skewers and scallops Jacques served with rice and a baked potato for me. Lobster tail, shrimp skewers and shrimp casserole with rice for Thierry. I must say that we feasted. I let you admire the dishes ...

Saturday we have not done much, we went to buy a new golf glove for Thierry then he went to hit some balls during practice I read in the sun. Oh yes I forgot he is still here 20 ° C, one has not yet realized that winter is coming! Then we went to buy our tickets for the basketball game the next day: The San Antonio Spurs against the Hornets in New Orleans.

Sunday afternoon, before the basketball game that was at 18h we went for a stroll in one of the gardens of the city: The Japanese Tea Garden. It was fun but part of the garden was under renovation.

Then to the point AT & T Center to watch the Spurs game. The match was great, the Spurs dominated the game and have emerged from 109 to 84. The 16 points from Chris Paul will not have enough for the Hornets to return to score.

The terrain seen from our seats.

2 free throws to Tony Parker, he put the 2 of course!

The view from the ground since the "fan zone".

The final score!

Garment Racks Rental Dallas Fort Worth

weekend of November 24 to 28:

The 4th Thursday of November, Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. Thursday is a holiday and they take the opportunity to build bridges, which gave us the right to a weekend of 4 days.
was therefore organized with Thibault and Nico, my former classmates who are currently in Meridian, a weekend skiing. So we agreed on the destination: This will be the largest and most prestigious U.S. stations: Aspen, Colorado.
(surely the most expensive too).

We therefore given appointments in Denver on Thursday morning where we rented a car for all the 3:30 road that still separated from Aspen.
We left San Antonio on Wednesday afternoon and we stayed in a hotel near the Denver airport because it was cheaper than taking the plane on Thursday morning as Thibault and Nico.
Our hotel room was beautiful, by the way I do not know if you can call it a room, it was more an apartment: Fully equipped kitchen, living room and bedroom separated by a library and of course a bathroom bigger than us ...

After a good night's sleep, the Avatar in HD on our TV and a good breakfast, we went back Thibault and Nico at the airport in our new rental car: a Chevrolet Impala with snow tires of course since it had been snowing non stop last week.

After crossing a portion of Colorado east to west, we arrived at our hotel in the heart of the resort: The Innsbruck Luxury. A small 4 star hotel in the U.S., ie one bedroom, 2 bathrooms (yes I know it's weird especially for 4 people) and over-equipped kitchen. The pictures speak for 'they even:

We then went to eat the traditional Thanksgiving turkey in one of the few restaurants open. Then nothing like it to digest and recover from our long journey to rest in the hotel jacuzzi heated to 38 ° C knowing the temperature outside was around -17 ° C (yes you read correctly! !).

Friday morning, after having rented our skis, we started to ski the slopes of Aspen Mountain under a bright sun and snow still fresh. In addition, the station that opened the day before, the tracks and especially the lifts were deserted. Short optimal conditions, what happiness!

On Saturday we headed to Snowmass, Aspen station combined with about 30 minutes shuttle. At this time of year, only half of the facilities were open but the resort is so huge that we could not even do all the tracks. The area covers over 1200 hectares (for example Aspen extends from 273 hectares), and the summit is 3813 m. And again the sun and the snow got together.

On Sunday we left the hotel at 8am and headed to Denver. The aircraft Nico and Thibault was at 13h and 17h to ours. We finally arrived in San Antonio to 23h after a stop in Amarillo (North Texas) and a stop in Dallas without ever changing planes (the magic of low-cost airlines ...).

To conclude this long weekend was perfect on all points and we would have stayed a little longer to enjoy the slopes and jacuzzi ...

Public Showers Men Do You

Thanksgiving weekend of November 19 to 21

Friday afternoon we finally went to see the first part of the final book in the saga "Harry Potter", entitled "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." For once the film is very close to the book so we now eagerly awaiting the result will happen in July. But I think I probably go back again the first part in the coming weeks! Thierry can not wait that long to know the outcome, he decided to buy the book in English to know the end of the story ...

We then see a game of ice hockey team "San Antonio Rampage." It took place in the same stadium where we had seen the Spurs basketball game. For those not familiar too much hockey here is a quick reminder, the teams consist of 6 players including the goalkeeper. The match lasted 3 third time of 20 minutes and there is no tie in hockey. So if at the end of regulation time teams are level there are 5 min extension that play 5 against 5. Then came the penalty kicks in 1 cons 1 with the keeper. The match was great and the San Antonio Rampage won 4-3 against the team from Milwaukee after extra time and penalty kick.

We spent the rest of the weekend we rest and prepare for the next as we go skiing in Aspen: the largest U.S. station. Indeed Thursday is Thanksgiving is a holiday for most Americans and we are the bridge Friday which entitles us to a weekend of four days.
I'll get back to you soon for a summary of this extended weekend.
