We have arrived since soon 3 weeks and I can finally begin to tell you our adventures.
We left Marseille Sunday, October 10 and we slept at the airport of Paris' Charles de Gaulle. "Our plane for the United States was at 9:30 on Monday morning. After a journey of about 13h, with a stopover in Houston, we arrived at our final destination: San Antonio, Texas at 15:30 local time. is where our troubles started, I'll spare you the details but our credit cards were temporarily blocked French and of course the bank did not open until Tuesday, so without a penny in pocket it was impossible for us pay the bail of the car we had reserved. After lengthy negotiations with the rental agency and a few tantrums later, we managed to get a car smaller than expected but we finally made perfect sense. A Kia Soul:
